S200

S200 is our 200 micron film. It is thick enough for the panels that get hit first: bonnet, bumper, mirrors, door edges and the strip behind the rear wheels.

The top layer heals itself. Small scratches and swirl marks close up on their own once the panel warms in the sun. A cut that goes right through the film will not close, but that piece can be replaced on its own.

Finishes

• Gloss — the car looks the way it did on delivery day.
• Matte — turns a shiny panel flat without repainting it.
• Black — solid black over the panel underneath.
• Matte black — solid black with a flat finish.
• Custom colour — picked when you order.

The specification

• 200 micron thickness (~8 mil).
• Self-healing top coat — light scratches close up in the sun.
• Hydrophobic and stain resistant.
• Finishes: gloss, matte, black, matte black, or a colour you pick.

What it does, and what it does not

The film takes the damage in place of your paint: stone chips, light scratches, scuffs from bags and bumpers, bird droppings that would otherwise mark the paint. The car is easier to wash too, because dirt sits on film instead of settling into swirl marks.

It is not armour. A dent is still a dent. A hard kerb hit still marks the panel. Film is a wear layer — when it is used up, you change the film instead of the paint.
